yay! I bought the ibook 14" finally! After several months of careful consideration, I've bought the ibook with a really good academic price + Mac Office promotion of 50% off. I'm glad that I bought the ibook now, because I don't want to get the one with Intel processor. There are too many unknowns - and seems like some big software companies are drapping their feet.
New ibook experience is GREAT. It is - as many people commented - much much easier to use. Of course there are things for you to get used to, for instance the close/min/max buttons on the right -- those aren't the big issues. Seriously, I've been configuring my windows to mac for several years and i've already got used to all the docks and top taskbars. This made my transition easier. Now, I'm trying to sell my laptop. Before I still hesitated because I'm not sure if I can get all the softwares I needed for school / work. But now, I figured there are many alternatives and I've already got every software installed in my mac. If anybody needs a computer, and don't mind to get a used one, I'll definitely sell mine to them.
I love my mac!
